Is Speech Therapy Right for My Child?
Speech therapy empowers children to communicate confidently at home, in the classroom, and with friends.
Hard-to-Understand Speech
People outside the family still struggle to grasp words after age 4.
Late Language Growth
Vocabulary, sentences, or following directions lag behind same-age peers.
Social Communication Gaps
Difficulty taking turns, staying on topic, or reading facial cues during play.
Stuttering / Fluency
Repeating sounds, prolonging words, or visible tension when talking.
Comprehensive Evaluation
A 60-minute, play-based assessment pinpoints speech-sound errors, language level, and social-communication strengths.
Personalized Progress Plan
Your SLP sets 3–5 measurable goals and builds a weekly therapy roadmap—including home-practice videos.
Progress & Review
Every 4 weeks we track goal mastery, adjust techniques, and email a progress chart you can share with teachers.
"The speech-language therapy my child received at Progress Village has made a world of difference. Their compassionate approach and tailored strategies truly helped him communicate better."
Transparent Fees—No Surprises
Every family begins with a one-time evaluation.
Note: Most families pay $0–$20/visit with insurance; the initial evaluation is also usually fully covered.
FAQs
Here are some common questions about our Speech-Language Therapy services.
Yes. We’re in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kaiser, and Medicaid. If we’re out-of-network for you, we’ll give you a Superbill so you can submit for reimbursement. Copays and coinsurance vary by plan, so we verify benefits during your intake call before you owe a dollar.
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist spends 60–75 minutes playing, talking, and using standardized tools to measure speech sounds, language, and social-communication skills. You’ll leave with a verbal summary that day, and a full written report within three business days.
Most children start with one 45-minute session per week for 12 weeks. Every four weeks we graph progress and adjust the plan together. Some goals resolve in a single cycle; others require additional blocks—always your call.
Because each therapist’s caseload is limited to ensure quality, your child’s weekly slot is reserved exclusively for you.
Pausing for more than 2 consecutive weeks releases the spot to a wait-listed family. When you’re ready to resume, we’ll re-enroll your child at the next available opening (typical wait: 6-8 weeks).
To begin, fill out our Inquiry Form with your details. Our team will reach out to discuss your child's needs. We look forward to partnering with you on this journey.
